Today, not only are people concerned about their health, but how they look. The twenty-first century is the age of beauty, healthy skin, and the desire to remain forever young.

Healthy skin and good nutrition go hand in hand. While it is impossible to prevent the process of aging skin, eating a healthy diet can lead to a more glowing and healthy complexion.

The number one recommendation by doctors is plenty of water and healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and fish. Supplements can also aid your skin and general well-being.

Vitamin A is one key ingredient to healthy skin. Supplements of Vitamin A have been shown to help prevent acne and skin cancer. Caution: as with all vitamins, take care not to overdose on Vitamin A as it can result in liver problems.

Scientific studies have shown a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, yogurt, eggs, vegetable oils, whole grains, tea, and water result in less photo-aging and skin wrinkling compared to those who consume foods such as red meat, whole milk, butter, sugary products and potatoes.

Soy is a natural and healthy food with great benefits. Studies have been conducted in order to determine the effectiveness of an increased soy diet and menopause. Many of these studies concluded by adding soy to your diet, including soy pasta, soy pasta noodles, soy milk, soy cheese and other soy products, women either decrease their chances of suffering with menopausal symptoms or make the symptoms less frequent.

These studies revealed a significant link between soy consumption and menopausal symptoms. However, while soy is not a replacement for Hormone Replacement Therapy, soy is a viable option for women who do not want to take hormone therapy.

At "Foundation for the Simple in Medicine" Dr. Batmanghelidj began research of the effect of chronic unintentional dehydration on the human body. His findings were published in their "Journal of Science in Medicine Simplified" in 1991 and 1992.

His research produced a paradigm shift in the basic science of medicine. As the guest lecturer of an international Cancer Conference, he explained that pain and the degenerative diseases, including cancers, are produced by dehydration in the human body. His article, "Pain: A Need for Paradigm Change," was published in the "Journal of Anticancer Research" in 1987.

For the first time in medical history, at the 3rd Interscience World Conference on Inflammation in 1989, Dr. Batmanghelidj explained that histamine is a neurotransmitter in charge of water regulation and drought-management programs of the body-the medical breakthrough people have been waiting for.
